Wednesday Message 9-28-22

Wednesday Greetings,

September 28, I see by social media,  is National Son's Day.  We just had National Daughter's Day.  September also contains National Grandparents Day, and Labor Day.We have Mother's Day, Father's Day, National French Fries Day, and my personal favorite, National Red Wine and Chocolate Days.Whee, there's a day for everything.  And to be honest, they drive me crazy. But then I take a breath, and give thanks for the reminder each of those days brings. And then, I remember, the Lord's Day.  Sundays have been a sacred day for Christians for generations. Commemorating the Third Day, the day of the Resurrection of Jesus the Christ.   What a great day to remember, to honor, to celebrate. And then I remember, "This is the day the Lord has made."  Every day.And so, Happy "whatever-special-day-it-is-today Day.... because it gives us a chance to pause and remember, to give thanks and honor.  And I think doing all of that for God is a good thing!
Peace in our journeys,
Pastor Steve Melde
