New Year?

Well, what's new?  OK, it switched from 2022 to 2023, but really, what's new about it?

I am not being a pessimist, but it's still cold in Tucson.  The economy is still fragile throughout the world.   People are still homeless.  Everybody is still facing the same challenges they did before the year changed.

The New-ness is up to you. 

It's what you do with what has always been that makes something new.

It's about how you face what you have always had to face in your life, just with a new perspective, a new resolve.  

The year is in your hands.  And just like last year, you are in God's hands, always and forever.  That hasn't changed.  And it won't.  I'm grateful that isn't new.

I invite you to move into this year, new in resolve to be a person of deeper faith, finding ways to trust God even more, and give your self more and more to God, as God has so fully given God's self to us in Jesus the Christ.

Here we go.
