It's better to give than to receive.... or so they say..

which may be why we spend so much time at Christmas time running around finding the right gift for others... and forgetting to accept the greatest gift of all from God.

We focus on giving... but this season is also about receiving.  It's a humbling place to be the receiver, I know.  But I realize more and more every year that I'll never out-give God, and I need to really take the time to receive from God, to be humbled before God and receive God's presence in my life.  It's quite a gift.

So, while you are out there preparing to give... remember to receive... from God.
