Wednesday Greetings,

Last year, I had the opportunity to sit with a seminary professor who focused his studies in the Psalms.

Psalm 46:10   Be Still, and know that I am God.

It's a famous phrase that this professor brought to life for me.  He told us the psalmist was in the midst of battles, recalling old battles... and heard God call out for everyone to BE STILL... which really means... put down your weapons... stop the fighting, be still... I am God... I am in charge, I am here, I am with you.

Battles don't have to be with others; battles can be with yourself, or even with God... (what?) yes!

I invite you today to take a moment and heed God's call...

BE STILL...  set aside the battle, and experience God's presence... right there with you, even in the struggle.

Just stop and breathe for a moment, let the battle stop for just a moment, and breathe... and know that in that breath is the presence of God's Spirit...

I bet you'll return to the battle different.... or you just might leave the battle...

God's got this.  God's got you!

Shalom,
Peace in our journeys,
