It's raining.... hooray or boo?

Some are saying hooray for the rain.  Some are saying boo.

I think the desert is hoping for rain, but tonight is my grandson's playoff baseball game... guess who's saying boo.

Same place, same time, two different prayers.  What's God to do?

I suppose for me, it's the reminder that though I am invited to pray and even ask for whatever I want/need, I have to remember that God has a lot to balance, and I may not get what I want.

Now, I know, that's obvious.  We all know that.  
But do we really?  Why is it then that we get so frustrated with God when we don't get what we want?   Why is it then that we say prayer works... only when we get what we want?

I am learning to trust God.   I know that I can ask for whatever, but I am more aware that others are asking too, and... God just has to figure it all out. 

And I know... that if God figured out creation in the very beginning, God can figure it out now.  

So, no matter the outcome... God's figuring it out.  And I choose to trust God.  I hope you do, too.
