Sometimes we think a "spiritual" experience is something really grand and glorious, a "MountainTop" experience in our lives.  We think they happen at retreats, in worship, at an amazing sunset.

But spiritual experiences can be very ordinary and happen in the most regular of places. They can happen when you look into the mirror and catch a glimpse of yourself in your eyes.   They can happen moving the clothes from the washing machine to the dryer.  They can happen while waiting for a fly ball to come your way in the outfield.   They can happen in the produce section of the grocery store.

Mostly, experiences become spiritual when you sense something more in the moment, when you allow yourself even a second to remember that God is near (all the time), when you remember that every space and place and time is filled with the sacredness of life.

It's just in the noticing.

So, want some more spiritual experiences in your life?  Take a second to notice... wherever you are, whenever you can.
