Wednesday Greetings,

"What day is today?"A retired person asked me recently this wonderful question.  And, as one still working and living by the calendar, I must admit that I was wonderfully jealous.  I've experienced the feeling of not knowing what day of the week it is on some extended vacations, but mostly I am still guided by the rigors of the calendar."It's the day the Lord has made, so rejoice and be glad in it."That was my pithy reply.  And I thought, "It's not Monday when I have to...; it's not Tuesday when I am supposed to...; It's not Wednesday when this is due...; It's not Thursday when ....  etc."It's just a day that the Lord has made and you get to rejoice and be glad in it. And then I realized.... even when driven by the calendar.... the response is the same...  because God's grace is so amazing.  No matter what is on my calendar, no matter what I am required to accomplish, no matter what makes my schedule busy.... every day is a day the Lord has made.  And I get to rejoice and be glad in it... for the grace God bestows in Jesus the Christ, the Savior of the Creation.Funny thing is... remembering that... makes every day worth knowing what day it is.  Because every day is the day to rejoice and give thanks. What day is it for you?
Peace in our journeys,
