God, we come before you in prayer today.  Thank you for the gift of free will.  Thank you for trusting us enough to show us the way, but also to allow us to choose or not choose, to follow or to wander.

But please, God, don't let us wander far, don't let us not choose you for long.

With you, we are whole; without you, we are nothing.

We want to be close to you; we want to love and honor you.  We want to live in your ways.

Through your Holy Spirit, help us stay close to you, and choose you every day.

In Jesus' name, the one who showed us how.
