#CPC Wednesday Message 6-30-21
Wednesday Greetings,
I'm back.
Thank you for being so patient with me as I recover from falling off a ladder. Your patience with me in having to step away from leading, and now your patience with me as I step back into my position as pastor, has really helped me in the healing process.
Now, I challenge you to be as patient with yourself as you have been with me.
Be kind to yourself. We all have stuff with which we are dealing. Everyone! And not everything can be instantly resolved. Most of what we deal with is rather complicated. And some days/nights will be better than others. Some days/nights will be worse than others. Sometimes we will step forward, and sometimes we will step backward (or not move at all).
Be patient with yourself. Let the kindness that patience brings help you through whatever it is you have to deal with in your life.
Psalm 145:8 The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.
Even the Bible's Old Testament (filled with what seems to be an angry God) knows that God is patient. God is patient with all of us, slow to anger.
So, if you can be patient with me and God is patient with you, then I implore you to be patient with yourself.
