#CPC Wednesday Message 6-18-25
Wednesday Greetings,
Alright... whoever prayed for the weather to warm up... You can stop praying now!
It's hot here. Supposed to be 114 degrees on Thursday. Oy vey!
Now.... did your prayers work? In abundance?
We don't really know. We don't really know how our prayers affect God.
But I do know how they affect me! They make me want to be more in alignment with God, more trusting that even if I don't get what I ask for, that I can trust God listens and responds... and somehow... no matter what it is I'm praying about/for, I find my way through.. .closer to God.
I don't know if I really influence God. I surely know I don't control God.
God's in charge.
So, what good are my prayers anyway? They make me good-er... more faithful, more connected to God...
and that's a good thing!
So, in the heat... I pray for people who don't have ac... and I make sure I am giving to organizations (even my taxes) that support cooling centers and places people can go to escape the awful heat. and see.... I'm changed...
and that's good.
Hope you are too. I'm prayin! Join me in the effort.
