#CPC Wednesday Message 6-11-25
Wednesday Greetings,
Sometimes... my mind wanders, and finds itself in a "troubled" place, fearing the world around me, focusing on the problems, thinking less of myself (and sometimes thinking more of myself) than I really am... just troubled.
It's in those moments that I turn to God, not just in prayer asking for help, but to focus on God... to know that God's got me, God's still a part of my life and the world, and as mixed up as my mind and the world get,
"This is my Father's World," as the ol' hymns sings...
"that though the wrong seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet!"
And when I focus on God, I stop for a while focusing on me, and somehow in so doing, God's Spirit works a way in me that brings peace to my mind and life again. And I move on, renewed, ready to face the challenges again, more focused on God than on me.
A change in focus is always helpful... especially when it's a focus on God.
So, if your mind wanders.... to troubled lands.... refocus, and let your mind wander into God, and let God do what God always does... makes you new.
God is the ruler! of my life, my mind, and all life.
