No, God did not send the Coronavirus to teach us a lesson, to punish us, to wake us up, to..... anything.

We live in a world where viruses grow and spread, and can harm and kill.  It's just how it is.

Why did God make the world that way?  I don't know.
Why doesn't God reach in and stop it?  I don't know.

I do know that when I look at the Resurrection of Jesus, Immanuel, God with us, who we rejected.... I realize, God doesn't reject us, ever!  And I know that God doesn't send viruses like this.  It's just a part of living in the world that God made.  

And I learn to trust that somehow God has a plan that is beyond these moments, beyond this crisis, and includes amazing life.  So I press on toward that, I do what I can to help create that, I pray for it to come, I pray for others in the midst of crisis, and I ask God to help, and I trust God is helping, and I do my part and expect others to do theirs, and I trust... God.
