I am on study leave this week.  It's time y'all grant me to step away, change the routine, focus on my professional growth, and do some planning.  This week I am planning worship themes.

My favorite place to do this is on the beach in Rocky Point, Mexico.  Wow, it's hot and humid here this week!

Well, I noticed some seagulls standing along the shore, all facing the water, all facing the same way.  I went over nearby to see what they were looking at.  I didn't see anything.  But I figured, they, nature, must know something I don't.  So, I stood there with them.  We were there for about 45 minutes, just looking, just waiting, just.... being there.

I don't know if they ever saw what they were looking for, got what they were waiting for, but I did.  When they flew off, I realized that together, we just ... were.  And there was a wonderful peace about it.

Maybe it was their prayer time.  It became mine.  

And, so, I thanked God for birds, who taught me to just be, again.
