Dear Wednesday,

You sit in the middle of the week, right there in the midst of all that has been and all this is coming, just in the week at hand.

It's a special spot.  And sometimes we forget how important you are.

We often spend our time looking back... giving thanks that those other days are gone, or wishing we had more of them... all depending on what we faced.

We often spend our time looking ahead... giving thanks for what's coming, or even dreading what's ahead.

But you, Wednesday, you just sit there right in the middle of it all.  

I appreciate that.  You teach me to focus more on what's now, not what was or will be, but what is now.  You teach me to be more present in the moment, to just be... for now.    And the funny thing is, when I do that, I discover more of life.  I'm able to reflect on the past and learn from it.  I'm able to plan for the future and guide it.  All because you just sat there, right in the middle, and made me take time to just be in the middle of things, too.

So, thank you, Wednesday.  You teach me to just be me.  You are such a sign of God, who sometimes invites me to just sit in the midst of everything and be...  I'm grateful.
