Wednesday Greetings,

June 14th:  Flag Day in the United States of AmericaI love our country's flag.  It's so beautiful.  The symbolism in each piece is so amazing. But even more, I love what it stands for, I love that we pledge to create liberty and justice for all.   It's the symbolism, what the flag stands for, that is most important, not the flag itself.  A flag can be replaced.  I love that we respect it so much, though I find it curious that we tattoo it on our bodies, wear it as underwear or swimwear, or on my tie, or shirt or shorts....  but I guess draping myself in it means I take on what it stands for... the pursuit of liberty and justice for all.  Every time I see the flag, no matter where, I remember what it took to build a country so dedicated on these principles, I think of the people who gave their lives for that dream.Today, I'm thankful for the flag of the United States of America.  And more importantly... what it stands for.  And today, I commit myself even more deeply in the pursuit of liberty and justice for all.Happy Flag Day.
Peace in our journeys,
