#CPCtucsonaz Wednesday Message 7-9-25

Posted by Pastor Steve Melde on

Wednesday Greetings,

Imagine being Jesus...

He had all the powers of the world.  He walked on top of the water.  He healed with a word, a touch, a thought, a prayer.  He spoke with wisdom unlike anyone else.

And people flocked to him.... to see him, to touch even the hem of his garment, to talk to him, .... to beg him to heal them or someone they knew, to beg him for their own personal wisdom, needs, gain....

It must have been exhausting for him.

And the Bible tells us we are supposed to be like him, lights to the world of his grace and love and power, and presence with God.

Sounds exhausting.

Just remember, you're not Jesus.  You're not the Savior of the World.
You're you.

And just as God filled Jesus with the power he needed to fulfill his calling, God will fill you with the power you need to fulfill your calling.

It can be just as exhausting, but faithful exhaustion is a good thing.

There's a line to a hymn called "Lakeshore" that says:
"through my tiredness, may others find resting."

You're you.  Just do you, and let God fill you with the power to do you!

Peace in our journeys,
Pastor Steve Melde
