Come on Monsoons!  We've had that phrase on the church marquee for a week.  There's been a few sprinkles.

I've been praying for rain!  There's been a few sprinkles.

I guess prayer doesn't work.

But in the last week I have rejoiced in each little rain drop.  I've marveled at the cloud formations.  My nose has delighted in the scents that come in the desert as the rain approaches (even if it doesn't get here).   And I've realized that though there are many dry spells, the rain has always come, and I trust it will again.

Hm, maybe my prayers have made me more faithful.

Maybe prayer does work, just not always in the ways I expect or even want, but .... here I am God.

I pray prayer works for you, too.
