Don't Go...

Jesus... don't go to Jerusalem, especially during the Holy Days of the Passover....

He must have known it would be a hotbed of religious fervor, and whatever he said or did would be multiplied in intensity, which could only lead to two things: big trouble or big victory.

Maybe it's often that way... today we say... 
"Go big or go home."

This coming Sunday is Palm Sunday... the day Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem for the last time, humanly alive.  He rode in on a donkey, not a fabulous Arabian horse, not in a golden chariot, but on a stubborn donkey.  There was no red carpet, just branches of trees and people's jackets.  Victorious?  Grand?  Showy?  

Simple!  Humble!  And ready for whatever was ahead.

I'm personally grateful he went.  How about you?
