Wednesday Message 4-29-2020

Wednesday Greetings,

Well.  It certainly was a strange Easter.

But what is the same this year?  It's over; it was a couple of weeks ago, and we are on to something else.

How sad!

God created the world good, and us very good.  And somewhere in the mix of it all, we allowed our sin to make a mess of things.  God still loved us and came to us in Jesus to talk directly to us again.  And we rejected God with our sin again.  Jesus was crucified, died, and buried.  God raised him from the dead.  God wins.  Love wins.  Grace abounds; we are forgiven, again.

And we're on to what's next.

How sad!

Remind yourself every day you awake,
   Christ is Risen!

Let that be the guiding thought for the day.  Let your life give thanks for this incredible gift.  Maybe then we won't just pack the Resurrection away with the Easter baskets.

Peace in our journeys,
Pastor Steve Melde

P.S.
1.  Hey women of CPC.  I need your help, especially those of you who are moms.   I need your 15 seconds of best faith advice!   Use your smart phone, do a selfie video, and give us in 15 seconds your best faith advice to your kids or to any of us.   Text that to me.   I'm going to put it together into a video to use in worship on Mother's Day.  I need them no later than Thursday morning, May 7th.

2.  Join me live on-line for "Faith-Filled Fridays."   I'll take 15-20 minutes to just come on line, share a little inspiration, take prayer requests, and share some time together.
