Wednesday Message 3-24-21

Wednesday Greetings,

Tucson is in the midst of a winter blast.  And we just had a beautiful weekend of Spring.  But don't worry.  I'm prepared.   All I have to do is pull out clothes for cold weather.  I have them waiting, not only to use in the winter weather, but whenever the cold weather appears.

Ready for the shift to faith?

It's like that with my faith too.  I'm readying myself for whatever comes my way whenever it comes.  I pray, worship, study, struggle, trust, question.... Every day I prepare myself by deepening my faith, by making sure I know some scriptures to go to in times of need, by building relationships with others who are in this journey, too.  I'm preparing.

And though when the really hard stuff hits and tends to knock me down, I don't let it knock me out.  I pull out my faith and let my faith guide me through, protect me like the warm clothes I need today for this time of winter in the midst of spring.

I know.  It's not that easy, but it is the same process.

Just as I am prepared to face the weather, I am preparing myself to face the challenges of life.... with my faith.  I work on my relationship with God as often as possible to help me deal with the life I have to live.

Be prepared.    Winter blasts can come anytime.  Life happens.  Build your relationship with God every day.  Grow your faith every chance you get.

Peace in our journeys,
Pastor Steve Meld
