#CPC Wednesday Message 3-19-25
Wednesday Greetings,
Whew. The Flea Market is complete. Everything is out, packed up, and the church campus is getting cleaned up.... which is the part of the event that no one really enjoys! None of us like cleaning up the mess.
It's kind of like that in most of our lives... we mess things up, but the hard work of cleaning up the mess... well, most of us don't like to do.
Which is why many of us still live in lives that are messed up. (and I'm not writing about a messy house or desktop). I'm talking about a life that is messed up.
But the hard work of cleaning up the mess in our lives is required to find the peace and joy that life can bring. (one part of it is doing the forgiveness work that we are focusing on this season of Lent in worship).
I'm grateful for the grace of God in Christ... whose sacrifice "cleaned up" the mess we made... and still does. Which means, God does some of the work for us.
And yet, we still have work to do in that, ourselves. The first step is to make the decision that it's time... it's time to begin the work of cleaning up whatever is messed up in your life. I think the second step is to set a plan in place, and figure out how to do that.
Most of us know how to do it if we would really be honest with ourselves. But if you need help, I'm here.... just ask. I'll work with you to help you create a plan, implement and carry out that plan. Because my prayer is that we all find peace in our lives, that you find peace in your life...
So... time to start... ready.... go!
