Psalm 141:3
"Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord;
keep watch over the door of my lips."

Remember last week... it's not what goes into us but what comes out of us that shows our faith...

Well, here's another reminder...

If we want to find our way to peace with others, and with ourselves, we need to watch not only what we observe and think, but what we say, what we do with what we observe and think.

We have to understand as people of faith that words have power, and there's Power in God's Word.

We are called to care for and tend for this Creation, which includes others and ourselves.  

The psalmist is struggling.   Surrounded by challenges and people who weren't living faithfully, the psalmist turns to God and asks for help in living the faith faithfully, in creating peace, in living a more Godly life.  The psalmist asks God to be the guard of the mouth and guide of the lips so that whatever comes out... is of God and is Godly.

If we all did that.....  imagine the world.
